Ganizani Robert Sisya is an ICT professional who once worked on an ICT team of nine members, with only one woman. This firsthand experience of gender disparity in STEM inspired him to found Girl Engineer, on the belief that STEM is essential to the development of nations, but that tangible progress cannot be achieved while women and girls remain underrepresented in these crucial fields. Since founding Girl Engineer, Mr. Sisya has been working to tackle structural barriers that hinder access, inclusion, and opportunity.
